When reporting a bug, tell us your iPhone/Watch model, the app version (Settings → About), and what you were doing. If you can reproduce it, turning on Diagnostics (below) before it happens helps a lot.
Download a region while you have Wi-Fi or signal (the app prompts you when you enter a covered area). Once downloaded, the map, routing data, and train timetables all work with no connection. You can download several regions ahead of a trip.
Routing needs the routing tiles for your area, which download alongside the region. If a route can’t be found offline, make sure the region (and its routing segments) finished downloading in the Regions screen.
Maps are rebuilt monthly from the latest OpenStreetMap data. Each region shows its data date in the Regions list, so you can see how recent it is.
Open the app’s Settings and enable Diagnostics. It is off by default and sends nothing until you switch it on; only log lines recorded after you opt in are sent, and turning it back off stops sending immediately. See the privacy policy for exactly what it includes.
Yes. Introvert Maps can send an already-downloaded region directly to another nearby device over a local peer-to-peer connection — useful when neither of you has a signal. The data travels device-to-device and doesn’t pass through our servers.
No. There are no accounts and no sign-in. The app doesn’t ask for your name or email, and it doesn’t track you.
For the full details of what the app does and doesn’t do with your data, see the Privacy Policy.
