Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Introvert Maps app and this website. Please read them — especially the first section, because Introvert Maps is an informational aid, not a life-safety system.
1. Informational — not a life-safety system
The maps, routing, weather, weather alerts, river levels, transit times and camera / AR overlays are planning and informational aids, provided “as is.” They must not be your sole tool for navigation, safety, flood, or emergency decisions. Trails, conditions, timetables and water levels change; data can be stale, incomplete, or wrong. Carry proper navigation and judgement, and always heed official warnings and authorities.
- Routing plans a route to a destination offline; it is not an emergency auto-reroute or a rescue service.
- River levels are observed gauge readings, not a flood forecast or an evacuation tool.
- Transit boards show the published schedule (with live delays where available); they are not a guarantee of service.
- Light-pollution and similar overlays are approximate.
2. Data attribution & licensing
Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the ODbL; elevation is © Copernicus (GLO-30 DEM); transit timetables are provided under each network’s licence; other sources are credited on the data sources page. When you use or share data from the app, you must respect those upstream licences — in particular their attribution requirements.
3. Acceptable use
Use the app for personal, lawful purposes. Do not scrape or redistribute the hosted datasets outside the app’s intended use, and do not misuse or attempt to disrupt our backend services.
4. Cost
The app is currently free. If this ever changes, these Terms will be updated and any new terms will apply from that point onward. No purchases are offered through this website.
5. No warranty; limitation of liability
The app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Consistent with section 1, we are not liable for decisions you make based on the app’s information, nor for data that is inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version is always posted at this URL with its effective date.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
