Lock-screen / Live Activity navigation

While you navigate a route, a compact Live Activity shows the route ahead on your lock screen, so you can check your direction without unlocking the phone.

Do this

1. Start navigation for a planned route (see route planning).
2. A lock-screen Live Activity appears showing the route ahead.

Good to know

• At this version the Live Activity shows the route ahead (with generic surroundings) rather than a full detailed map.
• It draws its mini-map on-device from the route you’re following.
