Data sources & attribution

Introvert Maps is built on open data. This page credits every upstream dataset with its licence and the attribution it requires. We take attribution seriously — the same credits appear in the app’s About screen.

BRouter On-device offline route planning (engine + profiles) Open source (MIT). Routes are computed from OpenStreetMap data (ODbL, above).

Weather & alerts

SourceUsed forLicence & attribution
Open-Meteo Local weather forecasts (and a flood-data fallback) The underlying weather models (DWD, NOAA, ECMWF and others) are open. Open-Meteo’s free API tier is for non-commercial use; because the app is currently free, this use is compliant. We will revisit the commercial terms if and when the app is monetized. Data attributed to Open-Meteo and the originating weather services.
MeteoAlarm Official severe-weather warnings across Europe Warnings issued by national meteorological services, aggregated by EUMETNET/MeteoAlarm; attribution to the issuing service.
US National Weather Service (NWS) Severe-weather warnings in the United States U.S. Government public domain.

Transit timetables & live delays

Each national rail timetable and city bundle is built from that network’s official open GTFS feed; live delays come from the country’s public GTFS-RT feed. Several feeds require attribution; a couple carry share-alike or other constraints, noted below.

Using the app’s data

These datasets are downloaded and used on your device for your own navigation — they are not resold as a dataset. When you share content derived from them, please carry the attributions above (in particular “© OpenStreetMap contributors” and each transit feed’s required credit). See our Terms for details.
