Settings, diagnostics, About & data freshness

Where to find app settings, how the opt-in diagnostics work, and how to check your data’s freshness, app version, and emergency coordinates — all on the About tab and in Settings.

Diagnostics (off by default)

• Open Settings → Diagnostics. It is off by default and sends nothing until you switch it on.
• When enabled, only log lines recorded after you opt in are sent; earlier history is not shipped. Turning it back off stops sending immediately.
• See exactly what it includes in the privacy policy.

About & data freshness

• About shows the app version and the data dates of your downloaded regions, so you can see how fresh the map is.
• The credits list every data source; the same list is on the web data sources page.

Feedback

• The in-app feedback inbox (Your reports) lets you send a report and receive developer replies with a reference id — all anonymous, no account.

Emergency coordinates

• On the About tab you can copy or share your position in Decimal, DMS, MGRS or UTM (and as a geo: link). It works fully offline and contacts no one — it just formats your coordinates for you to relay however you choose.
